Virginia Woolf’s Room of One’s Own Discussion Series
Sunday, September 9th, 2007Works of Women Authors (WoWA) studies a book a month written by a notable (non-contemporary) female author. For September/October, we will read Virginia Woolf’s “A Room of One’s Own.”
Please read Chapter 1 before arriving to discussion on Tuesday September 11. We will be reading a chapter a week of this short work, though each chapter is full of wonderful references to literature and art, so be prepared to fall deep into historical and literary discussions about women’s roles in writing and fiction. This work can open up discussons for future WoWA novel selections and how women writers have affected the literary market.
VENUE: The discussions will be held in the Long Discussion House on the seaside next to the SL Gobe Theatre on the new sLiterary Sim.
